Frankie Knuckles was universally known as ” The Godfather of House” Music not only by Chicagoans but by the entire industry. He was honored by Chicago radio stations, bbc1 radio, local Djs that had moment of silence for him across Chicago clubs and even by A list Djs visiting the city the weekend of his death. Now the city of Chicago pays tribute to Frankie with one grand gesture. A 3 hour dance party in the center of the city’s millennium park on Tuesday June 3 from 6-9 and the best part it is free!! If you are a house music fan we implore you to come out and dance one last time for Frankie, because if it wasn’t for him non of what we love would have happened.
