React Presents just announced the complete lineup for Chicago’s brand-new monthly summer event series, DAYLIGHT DISCO! Daylight Disco will take over Cerise, the Virgin Hotel Rooftop Bar and Nightclub one Saturday a month. Intimate by its design and feel, Cerise is the ideal spot for music lovers to take in the city skyline and explore a unique space for an epic daytime disco party.
The Daylight Disco series kicked off in May with a sold out show featuring a groovy and funk-fueled DJ set from France’s BREAKBOT. Known for his remixing prowess and commitment to releasing innovative music videos, Breakbot’s presence at Cerise came as a welcome headlining act following a stacked roster of incredible local talent, including Groove Animal and Redux. The next installment takes place this weekend on Saturday, June 18 with iconic Chicago-based female DJ named COLETTE. As a resident of the city’s SmartBar venue, her presence atop the Cerise rooftop should come as a familiar sight to attendees of the town’s house music scene. Don’t wait to buy your tickets because this show is almost sold out!
Next month, Dirtybird’s ARDALAN will takeover the decks with his high energy house-infused romp on Saturday, July 23. Check out his recent Thunderdad release, which is the second solo EP he released on the highly acclaimed Dirtybird label. The following month, Dominican American singer and producer TWIN SHADOW will be playing a coveted DJ set on August 20, which introduces a visceral yet refined aura to Daylight’s already stacked series of performing acts. To wrap up the summer series, Germany’s own DJ SUPERMARKT will be touching down in Chicago for a live installment of his acclaimed Too Slow To Disco series on September 24. His laid back and soulful collection of disco-oriented tunes are sure to bring the proper vibes to the city’s skyline party.
