Chicago’s Moment of Clarity

Saturday December 30th at the Aragon Ballroom, over 4500 people filled the dance floor for one of the last “Moment of Clarity” shows.

Doors opened around 8pm, and all those who waited out in the Chicago weather for awhile had the chance to situate their belongings. Luckily enough it wasn’t until 8:30pm that Valentino Khan took the stage. Khan ran the trap and instantly hyped up the crowd by dropping Carnage’s trap mix of Hardwell’s “Spaceman”. The wild crowd then eased into a state of calmness provided by the melodic mix of electro and R&B beats as Classixx took the stage. As the dj duo continued with their set playing their single “Holding On”, it wasn’t until they played their version of Drake’s “Hold On We’re Going Home” that the crowd finally got into the groove. Classixx mellowed the crowd by their unique sound to have everyone ready and energized for Anton Zaslavski, most commonly known as Zedd.

Energy filled the entire room as the crowd heard the very first sound of Zedd’s presence on stage. Opening song was his very own single “Spectrum” which the massive crowd just stood, arms raised and sang in unison. Following his very first drop the crowd became lost within the music. Remix after remix the room’s level of energy constantly increased which became an experience worthwhile.  Zedd’s visual and light shows are beyond belief when collaborated to his unique style of mixing. Astonishing lights and music provided by Zedd guided everyone to dance the night away. When every single person in the room stopped jumping and dancing, they stood to sing beautifully altogether songs such as “Spectrum”, “In My Mind”, “Stay The Night”, and most well-known “Clarity”. The Aragon radiated nothing but good vibes by the amazing people that filled it. Zedd closed his unbelievable set by playing his “Lost At Sea”. Last night Chicago witnessed a Moment Of Clarity.
