EDC Chicago has come and gone and with it Chicago’s festival season officially started. We’re just 16 short days away from Spring Awakening Music Festival 2013. With that being said the daily artist list has been released as well as information on the official after parties and locations as well as single day tickets. Full artist schedule to come soon. SAMF Ticket Sale + Phase 1 of Lineup

 At midnight the long anticipated lineup information and ticket sale for Spring Awakening Music Festival became a reality. Thus far the lineup isn’t something that gets me jumping out of my seat but given the amount of EDM festivals in Chicago this year that does not surprise me. Artists wouldn’t be able to play each festival in the same city either due to scheduling constraints to also clauses in contract deals due to rival promoters. Some favorites from last year come back, with some fresh faces that did pass on a tour through our Windy City in the past 12 months, along with some favorite local talent.  After some basic math you are quick to realize this is not the full lineup as no third headliner has yet been announced. Buzz around the internet have mentioned Avicii as a potential third headliner. Check out the full Phase 1 of the lineup below. SAMF Lineup Leak? With Confirmation

I originally wanted to write this post last night as I saw twitter blow up with news from other EDM blogs that the Spring Awakening 2013 phase 1 lineup has been leaked. The problem was I could not find any decent evidence of this and therefore felt uncomfortable posting based solely on speculation. Today Operation:Hand Hug another Chicago EDM type blog posted the news backing it up with the screenshot posted below. The screenshot was taken from Dancing Astronaut yet another blog who saw the information leaked on Clubtix before it was removed.

Music Festival News Galore

Spring Awakening Music Festival early bird tickets went on sale this morning and sold out pretty quickly. When you go to the festival website you can sign up to a mailing list to receive info about the lineup and when tickets will go on sale. An interesting thing you might notice on the top left of the banner is that this year the festival is expanding into 3 days. The festival is scheduled to happen staring Friday June 14 and run through Sunday June 16. Given the amount of talent that went through Soldier Field last year in just 2 days I can only imagine who React Presents will bring for all 3 days (Bassnectar and Calvin Harris already confirmed as headliners with Nervo also confirming an appearance). Time will only tell. Stay posted for more info.

In more festival news  today Electric Forest has released a YouTube video with its teaser for the 2013 festival which also included the festival dates. The dates are Thursday June 27 and runs through Sunday June 30th for those who don’t want to view the video in its entirety. For those that do its a pretty good way of hyping up the festival and its listed below. Enjoy!
