10914889_1558119847807505_2545307698298108949_oLast Friday a local bar known for holding shows for all types of different genres, hosted one of their biggest to date. Mojoes in Joliet hosted a paint party EDM show with tons of local talent. With Porn and Chicken headlining this show was set to be very promising. Unfortunately it did not deliver.

The venue seemed very over crowded leaving no room to walk around. It was extremely hot with what seemed like no air circulation so the air was very humid and stagnant. This made it very hard to dance and enjoy the music. Getting passed that, the performers did a great job! The sets were on point with popular drops and great flow. The favorites of the night were Skylar Shores, The Trap House, and of course Porn and Chicken. Even though I have seen Porn and Chicken play better sets before, they all engaged with the crowd and really made it the best experience it could of been! Considering the sound kept cutting out on them throughout the entire night the guys really did a good job keeping the crowd happy! This problem alone was the result of the headliner cutting their set short.

Another huge thing that was not expected was the production. The lights they used were of great quality and they even had lasers which were a huge shock! All in all the night was very fun but there were many things that they need to improve on before I return. However if you ever have the chance to see The Trap House or Porn and Chicken, do it!

The In-demand TECH(NO) Loft Series Kicks Off 2015 Strong With Inphinity, Eelrack, and Chris Robert (Live) On Saturday, February 21st!

To follow up the End of the Year TECH(NO) party with Balthazar and JackRock and Autograf’s surprise guest performance, Reverse Events is back at it with the first TECH(NO) Loft event of the year – and per the usual, it’s bigger and better than ever! TECH(NO.7) will see numerous upgrades such as a new stage design, an enhanced visual/light show, and more bathrooms to accommodate the party’s explosive growth since the inception just less than a year ago. On the bill – Inphinity (pictured below), one of Chicago’s icons, bringing the heat with a proper Techno set prepared solely for this performance, along with Eelrack bringing his dark Techno beats all the way from Brooklyn, and Romanian Tech-house/Techno producer Chris Robert with a special Live PA set. Afterlife 2-21-15I’m always excited when WhySoChi has the privilege to work with local Chicago DJs and promotion companies to raise awareness about all the great EDM parties that go on on a weekly basis around the city. From the dynamic duo that brought you the House Music Saved My Life charitable parties to raise money for the Chicago Ronald McDonald Charities, we’d like to introduce you to the Afterlife party series.
