Sangria Festival Chicago 2019 in its fourth year celebrates arts, flavors, music and food for the ultimate summertime experience. The two day festival created by two Chicago sisters is a complete summer getaway with an infusion of 20 different Sangrias to try, varying from Classic Red and White to Summer Berry, Watermelon, Pomegranate as well as Guava and Lychee to name a few. You’ll also want to pair with the delectable food including unforgettable Paella from Tapas Valencia, Empanadas from Chicago’s own 5411 Empanadas, Delicious Tacos from Flash Taco and Taco In A Bag, the popular plant burger from Impossible Burger at Boulevard Sports Lounge and many more delights. All guests are encouraged to bring along a blanket and summer chair to sit and lounge while you sip your sangria and “experience” Live cultural music and entertainment throughout the day including Flamenco Performances and Samba Dancers with beautiful music accompaniments.
Ticket holders for Sangria Festival 2019 will receive an exclusive reusable glass souvenir cup to take home. The event offers a selection of tasting options when you purchase tickets online. Sangrias are all handcrafted and created by Chicago Mixologists and are garnished with fresh fruit everyday. Signature Sangria tastings are available in the VIP area as well as exclusive food and dessert options. Along with Sangria and Food there is also a world market featuring over 20 vendors with merchandise, shopping, games and giveaways. Guests may also Sip and Paint in the park with an exclusive ticket option available that includes 3 painting Sessions each day hosted by Pinot’s Palette of Logan Square. This area also features local Live Painting Artists and DIY vendors. All through the grounds find locally designed photo walls for your selfies and watch out for the Hollywood look-alikes!
The 2019 Festival stage is hosted by Mike Oquendo of the Mikey O Comedy Shows and includes an array of musical tributes including “Santana Revival” featuring Marcus Robinson, a premier performance by Purple Elephant featuring a Fugees Tribute. Not to be missed are the flamenco and samba performances earlier in the day with a samba parade in the crowd. Ultra Beat Band and Red Carpet Riot will also bring the energy in the day with your favorite top 40 hits and a DJ performance featuring ladies of the 80’s songs and a Madonnarama Hour.
Partial proceeds from the event will benefit the San Lucas Church and Food Pantry & Hot Meal Program as well as local elementary school St. Stanislaus Kostka.
