Pardon My French Tour [Recap]

Pardon-My-French

It’s been a week since the Parisian trio of Tchami, DJ Snake and Mercer kicked off the North American leg of their Pardon my French Tour, and my feelings about the show have not changed. Simply put, Malaa the alter ego of one if not all three of the tour headliners stole the show. Tchami, Mercer and DJ Snake had good sets (even if they did copy and paste them from Ultra), but Malaa with his deep, heavy, and slower tracks made an impact on me.

Given their individual success it’s no surprise that the show sold out the Aragon Ballroom, but I’m left with more of a need to see Malaa again whether in Chicago or during the festival circuit. It seems that the hype for DJ Snake, Tchami, and mercer has exceeded the artists themselves. I still love the hits, but everything in between has become white noise. Let me know what you thought of the show in the comments below.
