This year, fans of React’s longstanding BASS KITCHEN series will have the opportunity to witness brutal bass carnage as one of Spring Awakening’s branded stages is transformed into the wub-filled pit we deserve. Headlining the Bass Kitchen’s takeover will be an undisputed member of the Mount Rushmore of modern dubstep, Snails! Having created such iconic hits as “Holla Out,” “Deep In The Night” and “Frogbass,” Snails’ shining presence in the bass music community is unrivaled by most. When he closes out the stage with his face-twisting beats, fans are advised to hold tight and keep their arms and legs in the mosh pit at all times.
Since its inaugural year in 2012, Spring Awakening Music Festival (SAMF) has grown exponentially, from two days to three, having three headliners to six, and most recently climbing up near the 100,000 attendees mark last year.
This year React Presents and its premier Chicago EDM festival take another step in the right direction, by hosting 3 curated stages throughout the 3 festival days. This move will not only benefit the Trance Family, the Bass Music and Beatport Top 40 fans, but also create an atmosphere that larger EDM festivals have been creating for years. For the first time at Soldier field you can spend a day at one stage vibing to the sub genre of your choice with like minded music fans.
After taking a look at the daily lineup; it looks like one stage each day will play host as the curated stage. Friday June 12 looks to host the Trance Arena . Saturday June 13 will be reserved for the Bass Kitchen and Sunday will close out with The Beatport featured artists.
