Avicii Cancels All Upcoming Shows Til Further Notice

According to Billboard, Avicii is cancelling all future shows til further notice. He will not be performing at Tomorrowworld and will most likely resume working on his album starting next year. Read the statement below:

“Reps for Avicii (real name Tim Bergling) confirmed to Billboard that that all touring and promotional activities have been suspended, pending the Swedish dance star’s recovery from lingering health issues related to the surgeries that removed his gallbladder and appendix earlier this year.

Those same surgeries forced Bergling to miss his headlining slot at the 2014 Ultra Music Festival, as well as his Las Vegas residencies during the month of April.

Newly affected performances will include his headlining slot at TomorrowWorld later this month, as well as Las Vegas residencies at XS and Encore Beach Club and a scheduled Asian tour in October.

According to his reps, Avicii will recuperate in his native Stockholm until he has recovered the strength and physical well being necessary to resume work on his second artist album next year.”

Deadmau5 Trolls Ultra

I always liked Deadmau5 not only for his music but also for the fact that he is never shy to voice his opinion even when no one asks him for it., especially about other Dj and today’s EDM scene. When I heard he was to replace Avicii at the Ultra Main stage on Saturday  March 29, I called it a win/win. As much as i think Avicii has some great songs, but  I’ve grown tired of Levels due to Chicago’s non EDM radio stations overplaying it. Same goes for Martin Garrix’ Animals.

Watch below as Deadmau5 trolls both Avicii and Martin Garrix with his funny remix of Animals and great mash up of Levels with his hit Ghost n’ Stuff.
